Kirk was chosen as the St. Clair County Realtor's Association 2010 Rookie of The Year. He has been awarded as a member to the Club of Excellence each year and earned lifetime status. Kirk is married to Jeanne Bottorff Mabeus. Kirk and Jeanne are originally from Nebraska, moving to the Rainbow City, AL area in 1993. They have two children, Kelsey and Zach, one grandson, Coleman and one granddaughter, Berkley. Kirk is a member of First United Methodist Church of Rainbow City.
